Graduates of our program receive assistance with job placement in positions that lead to career opportunities in the resort and culinary management field.

Professional Resort and Quantity Food Management Course

The Professional Resort and Quantity Food Management Course is an 18 week program of study all in the hands on environment of Lakeside Resort & Educational Complex.
Program focus:

  • Intense and abbreviated resort management
  • Basic technical cooking skills
  • Development of proper work habits, attitudes, and professional practices
  • Practice of safety and sanitation procedures
  • Planning, preparation, management catering, customer service, lodging and front office management

Students must have a high school diploma or equivalent. No entrance exam is required. Participants must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Upon completion, students will receive 18 transferable continuing education units from Tennessee Tech University , a certificate of completion, and assistance with job placement in positions that lead to career opportunities in the resort and culinary management field.

The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency is offering financial assistance for tuition, books and lab fees for qualified individuals. The cost per student for the 18 week course is $1550.00 plus the cost of books and lab fees.For more information about the course or
